What to include
Pick the topic closest to your message. Each link opens your email app with the subject filled in, so your note reaches the right pile.
Wrong water level or gauge
Tell us the lake and state, the page link, and what looks wrong: a gauge from the wrong lake, a level that does not match the lake operator, or a reading that has stopped updating. A link to the official source helps us fix it quickly.
Email about thisMissing lake or wrong location
Send the lake name, state and county, and if you can, a link to the lake on a map. Lakes with a public level gauge or a published level are the quickest to add.
Email about thisEmbedding the widget
For help putting the conditions widget on a club, marina or rental website, include the page where it should go and the lake you want it to show.
Email about thisPress, partnerships and advertising
Writing about lake levels or boating conditions, running a lake association, or interested in working together? Tell us a little about your project.
Email about thisPrivacy requests
Questions about data, cookies or advertising, or a request under privacy law. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, which is very little.
Email about this
Before you write
Many questions are answered in the FAQ, and the glossary explains terms such as full pool, gauge datum and gusts. For boating rules, closures, algae advisories and ramp hours, the state wildlife agency or the lake operator is the right contact, and we link to them from each state and lake page.
Emergencies
Lakeglance cannot help in an emergency. If someone is in danger on the water, call 911, or hail the U.S. Coast Guard on VHF channel 16.
